Presentation Instructions

Oral presenters

All oral presentations will be made in the main conference room, as indicated on the venue plant.

Keynote speakers have 50 minutes (40 minutes + 10 minutes for discussion). IMPORTANT: the 10 minutes of discussion cannot be skipped.

Regular oral session presenters have 25 minutes (20 minutes + 5 minutes for discussion). IMPORTANT: the 5 minutes of discussion cannot be skipped.

Special sessions are allowed 1 hour and 40 minutes for the presentations, it is the sessions' coordinator responsibility to share the total time between the presenters, and to allow some time for discussion. Please, it is very important to finish your talk before the time allowed for discussion with the audience, since this is a crucial aspect in a scientific gathering.

Attention: time schedule is tight, it is important NOT to exceed the time period, sessions' chairs will help each presenter respect this constraint.

Technical Details

We assume that most presenters will want to use their own personal computers, that is why a projector will be available to be connected to laptops or notebooks. An audio system will be available for demonstrations. A laptop will be available for those who want to temporally copy their material for presentation (in CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, or pen drive medias). In this case, please, it is important to save and test your presentation in the morning (for the first day), and the day before for the others oral and special sessions. All presentations for the respective sessions will be installed in the same laptop (except for those bringing their computers).

The presenters are requested to come to the session AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE the session starts. If you cannot make your presentation using a computer and need an over-head projector (we do NOT recommend this option), please CONTACT the Conference secretariat the day before your presentation. If you have any special equipment needs, CONTACT the Technical Program Chair as soon as possible (the deadline for that is April 6th). We will arrange them upon availability.

Poster Boards

Oral presenters will be offered A3 formatted poster boards the day of their presentation. In this case, contact the Technical Program Chair before April 6th.

You are required to put up your poster before 9 AM, and remove it as soon as the last session of the day finishes. The oral presenters' posters will be put by the side of the board for poster presenters.

Poster Presenters

Poster boards are available at the Foyer, just in front of the main conference room. The size of a poster board is 80cm (width) by 160 cm (height). There is, however, some flexibility in the width and an A0-formatted poster can fit very well (no more than 84 cm of width, though). If you need an electric outlet (AC 110V, 60Hz), please CONTACT the Technical Program Chair before April 6th.

All the poster sessions will be held at the Foyer, just in front of the main conference room. Please put up your poster before the first session of the day starts, and remove it as soon as the last session of the day finishes. The Foyer must be liberated until 6 PM, no later.

You are required to attend your poster during your session, and to be by your designated board for the whole duration of the session (one hour and a half), and ALSO be available for presentation and discussion during the last coffee break (half an hour). Note that coffee break and poster sessions are in the same room, and poster presenters can took their coffees with them, and return to their boards during coffee break.

To those who are planning to make demonstrations with their computers and other electric devices, please contact the Technical Program Chair before April 6th. Note that the electricity provided in the conference venue is 110V, 60Hz. Brazil electric outlets accept both rectangular and round section areas for the connectors.
