On site Registration
People who haven't registered yet but want to attend the Conference are strongly invited to come to Campinas and register on site. Those who are planning to do so are advised to mail sp2008_scient@iel.unicamp.br letting the Organising Committee know of his/her plans concerning conference attendance. This measure is necessary for logistical reasons: the Organising Committee has to be sure that there will be enough lodging, transportation and restaurant seats for all registered people beforehand.Registration forms

Payment options
The payment of the Registration Fees (and additional tickets) can be made by either VISA/Mastercard credit cards or Bank transfer.Credit card
Simply fill out your registration form, including the details of your card at the bottom of the form and send it by FAX to: (+55)1932544088.Note: this is a shared voice/fax line. Please ask whoever picks up your call for the fax signal in English in the case you don't directly get it.
Bank transfer
In the case of bank tranfer, fill out your registration form, choosing the option bank transfer and send it by FAX to: (+55)1932544088. Confirmation message
The arrival of every Registration Form will be confirmed by an e-mail sent to the informed electronic address. Most forms up to now arrived properly but some came in blank. So if you haven't received a confirmation message, please resend your form.Accomodation
Several measures are being taken by the Organising Committee in order to assure that the conference will be an opportunity for people to be in touch and share experiences.One of these opportunities is lunch at noon, since tickets for the wonderful restaurant at the Resort are included in the registration for people presenting a paper (both full researchers and students).
Another measure is the offering of very special booking conditions at the conference venue. People can share a double or twin room with a colleague and pay only half of the hotel rate (which gives R$ 190,00 a night per person, that is, around 65 euros for a five-star hotel). Come to the Royal Palm Plaza, the scientific gathering will be splendid if you take this option. In case you really prefer another option, the Town & Country agency will take care of your need.
Zooparque and Accompanying Persons Tours
On Saturday, May 10th, there will be a Scientific Committee Tour to the Zooparque (more information on the park here). There are also tour options for accompanying persons or those interest in doing tourism in Campinas area. There is a separate Tour Form.SP2008 Fees

Important observations:- Registration fees will be charged in Brazilian reais by Eurocard/Visa credit cards by the exact values in reais given in the table above. The correspondence with foreign currencies will depend on the attendee's credit card system as well as the day of the payment. The exchange rates shown above serve only as a reference. A Registraion Form will be made available on the conference website by December 10th, 2007.
- Those registering as Attending only will not submit a paper to be presented at the conference, although they will be allowed to attend all the conference activities. This registration category has become a practice in Brazil since agencies won't fund conference fees unless the researcher is to present a paper. As there is great interest among graduate students and researchers in taking part in important scientific events, it is not unusual that people will pay registration fees out of their own pockets just to be attend a conference and enjoy the talks and presentations and profit from its rich scientific environment. That is why Attending only registration has a discount price.
- Those whose submitted paper got accepted cannot register as Attending only. The Attending only category applies in only one of two possible cases: either the person does not have an accepted paper for the Conference, or the person is a co-author not presenting a paper (both orally or as a poster). In case of several co-authors with one or more papers, each author presenting a paper must choose an option distinct from the Attending only category.
- Registration as Full Researcher includes the Conference Proceedings in CD-ROM, and tickets to the welcome reception and the Banquet (see theTechnical Program for details on dates and times).
- Student registration does not include tickets to the banquet. They are available for R$ 125,00 (€, $).
- Conference Proceedings in paperback format will be available at a cost of R$ 60,00 (€, $).
- Those registered as Full Researcher or Student will be able to have lunch at the hotel during the Conference without any further costs, so that gathering and academic exchange will be improved. On the Registration Form additional tickets (for accompanying persons or Attending Only, for instance) can be ordered.
- The official tourist agency for Speech Prosody 2008 is Town & Country Turismo e Eventos. The agency, with more then 20 years of experience in organising international flights and tours, was also carefully chosen to deal with your trip to/from Brazil: the Town & Country agency will be delighted to find the best option to you.
